Timișoara is considered by Forbes Magazine the best city for business in Romania in 2016, for the second year in a row. The city ranks first in Top 10 of the magazine, being followed by Cluj Napoca and Bucharest.

Timişoara has an international airport, with flights to several European countries: Spain, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, France, in summer also to Greece and Turkey. There are also internal connection flights to the major Romanian airports.

The airport is located at 12 km North-East from the city center. Taxis are readily available outside the arrivals area. Bus #26 offers service to the city center, with stops at Piata Badea Cartan and Hotel Continental.
